Putrajaya Night Marathon 2016
10km Men Open, 2nd, 34:52 minutes, 9.92km.
Last night story on PNM2016, thanks to Jan Chang for fetching me to Putrajaya and Congrats on her PB in HM.
Had a capsule of Actigin an hour before the race to help in boosting glycogen recovery and it support enhanced recovery times while providing a small but significantly boost to endurance and it can significantly reduce inflammation in muscle tissue. It does enhancing exercise to exhaustiom times an additional 20%. Other than that, had an electrolyte sports drink mixed from the High5 Sports Nutrition Zero X'treme tablet with 500ml of water. Drink it for about 300 ml and proceed to warm up and drills.

Get into the starting line at 8.25pm. Managed to squeeze into the second row. Race flagged off at 8.40pm and I cruised into it, lead the whole pack. About 10-15 seconds later, looking at Thevan overtook me and running at a really much faster pace and took the lead back and at that moment I was like, wow, I am not going to follow him at such a pace.

Let him went away and I running at the second place at that moment. Later on, Rosnizam and Vasathan came up and we ran together. We clocked the first km at 3:06.5 min.

At about 3km, left just me and Nizam. He came and lead me and I follow closely behind him. We merge into the same route as HM route and so wasting up lots of energy, slowing down to run through them by zig zagging most of the time. At one point, I told Nizam, let's run on the pavement. We have a smooth ride then.

In between 3-7km, Nizam threw in a few surges to break me off, I didn't react to it and just maintain the pace. After awhile, I got closer back to him again when running downhill.

Approaching the PICC, left just alone and a 3km all the way straight line to the finishing line. It was windy at the straight line, I just want to maintain the pace until the end.

Reach the final 1km, turned up the gear, ran at a much faster pace. Until the last 500m, digging deep and ran more harder to chase the time. Managed to clock another sub 35 this time.
